The Opportunity: AI Has Changed Medicare Education

For decades, the best official Medicare information has been general. The government’s annual handbook, Medicare & You — the 2027 edition was just released — is genuinely helpful, but it cannot speak to anyone’s unique situation. Every beneficiary has been left to translate generic rules into personal answers on their own.

AI has changed that. Today, anyone can go to the AI platform of their choice and ask a Medicare question specific to their own circumstances:

  • “My birthday is December 2, 1964 — walk me through enrolling in Medicare.” (Initial Enrollment Period, or IEP)
  • “I’m already on Medicare and moving permanently into a nursing facility — what happens to my coverage?” (Special Enrollment Period, or SEP)
  • “I’m in a Medicare Advantage plan and want to make a change — when can I?” (Annual Enrollment Period, or AEP — October 15 through December 7)
  • “I missed all the other enrollment periods, what can do?” (The General Enrollment Period or GEP)

The catch: the quality of the answer depends on the quality of the question. Most beneficiaries don’t know what to ask or how to ask it. That gap is exactly what this website exists to close.

The Concept: Curated Prompts, Written by an Expert

A curated AI prompt — carefully chosen, thoughtfully organized, and presented by a Medicare expert — helps a beneficiary get a better answer, faster, than they could get on their own. That is the entire purpose of this site: it is a library of expert-built prompts that visitors take to their own AI platform, personalize with their own details, and use to get guidance specific to their lives.

The prompts will initially be developed from Medicare & You 2027, the official U.S. government Medicare handbook. We will eventually add prompts drawn from other Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) publications, Each prompt will be written so the user is guided to insert his or her own personal information before running it. Remember, how much personal information you add is up to you. If you have concerns about privacy, add little or no  personal information.

What Makes This Site Different — and Why That Must Show

Our  site’s  credibility rests on its independence, and the design should make that unmistakable from the first screen:

  • Nothing is for sale. No insurance products, no fee-for-service offerings, no lead generation.
  • No data collection. The site will not ask for the user’s personal information.
  • Phase one is a concept test. Revenue is deliberately not a goal right now. The design should feel clean, trustworthy, and educational — not commercial.
  • Clear privacy caution. The site must prominently warn users to assume it is not HIPAA-compliant and to be careful with health information.
